Where Faith Grows, and Hope is Found
"My heart is to see every person in this community know the love of Jesus Christ and find a home in this church."
— Pastor Joshua ThomasPastor, Pentecostal Church of Basher
Pastor Joshua Thomas has been faithfully serving the Pentecostal Church of Basher since 2024. Born and raised in Colorodo Springs, Co., Joshua and Kayla felt a calling to ministry at a young age and have devoted their life to preaching the Gospel and building up the body of Christ.
With a passion for Spirit-filled worship and expository preaching, Pastor Joshua Thomas brings the Word of God to life each Sunday in a way that is both rooted in Scripture and applicable to everyday life.
Rev. Joshua Thomas and his wife, Kayla, along with their five children, are honored to serve The Pentecostal Church of Basher. Raised in minister’s homes, they carry a lifelong love for the Gospel and a deep passion for serving others. After more than a decade in children’s ministry in the St. Louis area, they now call Ava home and are committed to leading with humility, faith, and a heart for the community
The Pentecostal Church of Basher was founded over 80 years ago by a small group of believers who gathered in Ava, Mo. with a shared vision: to plant a Spirit-filled church in the heart of Basher Community that would reach the lost and a family of believers.
Over the decades, the church still continues to impact lives through worship, the Word, and community outreach. Through all of the seasons of life, PCB has remained anchored to its founding conviction that Jesus died and rose again so the lost could be saved and that His love is available to all.
Today, we carry that legacy forward with the same desire and the same faith — believing that the best days of this church are still ahead.
These are the convictions that shape everything we do at PCB.
The Bible is the Inspired Word of God – 2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21.
We believe in the power of the Holy Spirit and the transforming work of sanctification in every believer's life.
Believing that true ministry reaches beyond the pulpit and into the heart of the community.
